Volunteering with the St. George Reef Lighthouse Preservation Society means becoming part of a small, dedicated community working to save something truly rare. There is nothing quite like standing on Point St. George, looking out at the lighthouse rising from the waves, and knowing your hands helped keep it standing for the next generation.

Whether you help with restoration work, greet visitors on tour days, or lend a skill like carpentry or photography, every volunteer hour makes a real difference. It is hard work with a view unlike anywhere else on the California coast, and the sense of purpose tends to last well beyond a single visit.
